Now here’s an interesting movie. Latido will be handling interna-tional sales on “Buena Vida” (Mirrors), the next film from Chilean Andres Wood, director of breakout hit “Ma-chuca,” according to Variety. Also new on Latido’s slate for Cannes is Roberto Santiago’s El club de los suicidas (Suicides Club), his darkly humorous follow-up to “The Longest Penalty in the World.” Produced by Tornasol and written by Santiago, “Suicides Club” will again topline popular Spanish TV actor Fernando Tejero. The pic turns on three suicides who meet to kill one another but instead realize assisted suicide could prove a lucrative business.
