COULTER ALL ALONE
How does a teenager become agoraphobic? I mean, I guess you could ask how does anyone become agoraphobic, but a teen? That goes against everything being young is all about. Imagine it…stuck in with your parents all the time, too afraid to walk out the front door to go get high with your friends…endless nights of sitcoms and TV dramas…sounds like a horror movie to me.
New Line’s behind a script idea that centers around that very concept, though in this case the teen discovers she’s become agoraphobic in a severally haunted house, and has to get over her fear…or DIE! Sorry, heavy drama there.
The movie is called ‘Alone’. Now New Line’s circling a director to take the helm of the project, multiple-Emmy award winning director Allen Coulter. Coulter has worked on ‘The Sopranos’ (hopefully not last seasons…), ‘Sex In The City’ and most recently the NBC mini-series ‘Kingpin’. On a more genre-related note, he’s also done duties on ‘The X-Files’, ‘Millennium’, the short-lived anthology show ‘Monsters’ and directed a segment of the King TV-movie ‘The Golden Years’.
