Fango heard from the folks behind SUGAR CREEK, a new Arkansas-lensed horror indie that recently completed principal photography for Pale Horse Productions. The film was written and directed by James Cotton, who also helmed another local fright feature, WINTER WOOD, and stars Daniel (ESCAPE FROM HELL) Kruse, Robert (LARVA) Miano, Kevin (STRANGELAND) Gage, Rebecca (SAINT SINNER) Harrell, Raynor (BOOK OF SHADOWS: BLAIR WITCH 2) Scheine and WOOD’s Sarah Swofford. The producers sent the following synopsis: “Adam Stanton [Kruse] finds himself alone, lying in a coffin, his feet bare. He wanders throughout the landscape, searching for help that he will not find. For there is a legend of a Horseman, a ghost that brings in men who have lived past their time. He hunts those men for three days. And if you help the one he’s hunting—the shoeless man—he’ll kill you as well.”
The film is currently in postproduction and is scheduled to be completed this coming October. You can see photos and find additional info at the movie’s official website here; we’ll bring you more on SUGAR CREEK soon as well.
