Fango has scored the full schedule for the film festival at LA’s American Cinematheque that looks back at the vibrant, bloody, and sinister “Golden Age of British Horror”, which now runs June 8-25. The list of films has grown larger; however, the announcement comes in the wake of the sad news of director Val Guest’s recent passing. He was originally slated to attended a Q&A session following QUATERMASS II; in memoriam, the Cinematheque will screen both that film and THE QUATERMASS XPERIMENT, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Here’s the full schedule of double features:
Thursday, June 8: REVENGE OF FRANKENSTEIN and FRANKENSTEIN MUST BE DESTROYED
Friday, June 9: HORROR OF DRACULA and TASTE THE BLOOD OF DRACULA
Saturday, June 10: X THE UNKNOWN and THE CRAWLING EYE, followed by: FACE OF FU MANCHU and STRANGLERS OF BOMBAY
Sunday, June 11: CURSE OF THE DEMON and BURN, WITCH, BURN
Wednesday, June 14: WITCHCRAFT and THE DEVIL RIDES OUT
Friday, June 16: THE GORGON and THE TWO FACES OF DR. JEKYLL
Saturday, June 17: QUATERMASS II and THE QUATERMASS EXPERIMENT
Sunday, June 18: THE NANNY and I START COUNTING

All screenings will be held at the Egyptian Theatre (6712 Hollywood Avenue). For showtimes and other details, visit the Cinematheque website!
