A BRUSH WITH DEATH, NEW PHOTOS

Echelon Entertainment gave Fango a first look at photos and a few details on its new acquisition A BRUSH WITH DEATH, a slasher opus from director Brad Wiebe and Stainless Reel Entertainment. The synopsis goes like this:

“Five cheerleaders set out on a carefree weekend getaway, only to run out of gas on a deserted road. Miles from the nearest gas station and out of options, the girls must accept assistance from an ominous mechanic. Lured to his abandoned farmhouse, the girls become fatally aware that the mechanic is in fact a twisted monster. Unbeknownst to the cheerleaders, their current savior was tortured as a child and murdered his older brother. Keeping his victims alive long enough to adequately torture them, he uses their blood for his own nefarious games in a frightening reenactment of his own childhood.”

The unlucky girls are played by Seanna McDonald, Missy Sturges, Nikki Cordell, Lily Vu and Ali Thurlow. Wiebe based the storyline on a true account told to him by a former psychiatric hospital nurse: When a man covered with lacerations was brought into the facility, the nurse learned that after he was taken into custody, the authorities found an assortment of paintings literally done in blood in the man’s basement, with more gore stored in a refrigerator. A search for the source of all the blood came up empty, however.

Release plans for BRUSH WITH DEATH have yet to be finalized; we’ll keep you posted.
