Snoop around the official website of legendary movie-poster artist Drew Struzan and you’ll find yourself stumbling in excitement over a portfolio of the usual jaw-dropping images we’ve come to expect from the guy who brought us the one-sheets for the Indiana Jones and STAR WARS series, BACK TO THE FUTURE and this year’s ABOMINABLE. And most recently, Struzan has posted the interesting horror curio pictured: possible poster art for the slasher film SIMON SAYS, commissioned by its director William Dear.
The fact that Dear and Struzan have a history makes this unsurprising; the two previously collaborated on a pair of one-sheets for Dear’s HARRY AND THE HENDERSONS. However, Universal opted not to use the art for the Bigfoot comedy’s main ad campaign; instead, one piece was used for the novelization cover, the other for a HENDERSONS puzzle. SIMON SAYS, starring Crispin Glover as a pair of murderous twins, recently made its world premiere at the Fango Weekend of Horrors in Burbank. Stay tuned for distribution details soon!
