Robert Kurtzman, director of the Dark Lot Entertainment horror film BURIED ALIVE, passed on to Fango the exclusive shot, featuring SAW veteran Tobin Bell in a scene with actress Lindsey Scott. He also sent along the pics of the movie’s Desert Witch (Beth Biasella) and himself on the set. “It has been a experience working with the talented cast and crew here in New Mexico,” says Kurtzman of the film, in which a group of youths run afoul of supernatural evil when one tries to unearth a cache of riches. “Collaborating with director of photography Tom [FEAST] Callaway has been a reel highlight for me. The film is a visual feast filled with creepy setpieces. I really want to capture the feel of films like BLACK SABBATH, the old-women segment in particular, that freaked me out when I was a kid and still give me chills to this day.”
In addition, Fango has learned that actress Erin Brown has joined the cast of THE RAGE, the shocker Kurtzman is directing for his Precinct 13 Entertainment company. Brown, who previously appeared in SHADOW: DEAD RIOT and MASTERS OF HORROR’s SICK GIRL and will soon be seen in Chris Sivertson’s THE LOST, will play the heroine Kat (replacing previously cast Carmella DeCesare) when the second round of shooting on THE RAGE begins in August.
