FEARMONGERS, the series of one-hour horror movies being put together by creator/producer/directors Ryan Nicholson and Nick Palumbo, has added and subtracted a few names from its roster of filmmakers. Nicholson gave Fango the scoop that Ruggero Deodato, the Italian creator of the infamous CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST, is the latest addition to the lineup. “He’ll be directing the third one, after Nick and myself,” Nicholson tells Fango. In addition, the duo gave us the scoop that Graeme Whifler, who’s been shocking festival audiences with his new NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH (which next plays at Montreal’s Fantasia), has joined the roster. Go here to see our last item on the other names attached to FEARMONGERS.
As for those departing the project, the duo inform us, “We regrettably announce that Jeff [SATAN’S LITTLE HELPER] Lieberman is no longer attached to FEARMONGERS due to contractual reasons. We feel Mr. Lieberman is a great filmmaker and wish him the best with future projects.” And Palumbo adds, “Sage Stallone and David [CHAOS] DeFalco are also out of the project for similar reasons.” Check out our FEARMONGERS panel at the East Coast Weekend of Horrors convention, taking place September 29-October 1 at the Meadowlands Crowne Plaza hotel in Secaucus, NJ.
