B-D have got some major news for us guys, Adam Green, writer/director of the ’80s slasher pic Hatchet, is officially attached to helm the big screen adaptation of the graphic novel Dead West by Rick Spears and Rob G.
The story is centered around a bounty hunter chasing down a fugitive…in a desolate western town where the Indian natives have returned as the walking dead to seek revenge on the white men who slaughtered them. For more details on this, Green’s sophomore effort Spiral, a Hatchet screening in London and his newly announced untitled comedy, read on.
Green tells B-D exclusively “that fans of the DEAD WEST graphic novel can rest assured… this will be viscious and gory as all hell.” Stephen L’Heureux’s Solipsist Film is producing.
Here are a few more juicy tid-bits:
HATCHET is premiering in London this Friday night at the West End Odeon for the opening night of Fright Fest. News on the film’s US theatrical release will be dropping any day now!
Green’s moody drama SPIRAL has entered it’s final weeks of Post Production and will begin screening for audiences this winter.
Green’s comedy project (the title of which has yet to be announced) is currently casting and is set to start shooting at the end of the year. A full announcement on the film is forthcoming.
