Dread Central reports:
Gore. You know you love it. Sure you can pretend you’re a heady horror fan, always looking for deeper meaning in the subtleties of your favorite scary movies, but admit it: You love gore.
Enter Ted Geoghegan, screenwriter extraordinaire. His last script, Barricade, just finished production under the direction of Timo Rose. Now he’s moving on to producing another low budget gore flick called 100 Tears … and it’s gonna be nasty.
“The film’s plot is being kept under wraps for the time being,” Ted told us. “But we can say it involves a psychopath, sunny Florida, and more blood than any film I have ever worked on.” And if you’re familiar with any of Ted’s previous work, you’ll know that’s no small accomplishment.
Undead star Mungo McKay just signed on for the lead role, joining Raine Brown and Joe Davison in the principal cast. More will be announced soon, and hopefully we’ll learn more about the plot as well. For now you can check out the film’s MySpace page to see some art, and keep an eye on it for updates. Production on 100 Tears is set to begin in early 2007, so expect to be hearing more about it real soon!
