Fango got the scoop from Dark Sky Films about the first U.S. theatrical bookings for German writer/director Christian Alvart’s ANTIBODIES, along with the first look at the poster seen above. The movie opens February 16 at both the Cinema Village in New York City and the Beverly Center in Los Angeles, with more bookings to follow.
ANTIBODIES begins with the capture of Gabriel Engel (André Hennicke), a serial killer of young boys. Believing that a child murder in his small town fits Engel’s m.o., cop Michael (Wotan Wilke Mohring) travels to the big city to interrogate him—but the experience sends Michael into a madness of his own. The movie’s European success and festival attention led Alvart to the helm of Paramount’s currently lensing chiller CASE 39; the filmmaker talks in depth about ANTIBODIES in Fango #261, on sale in February.
