Back in 1984 Ruggero Deodato created a stir when his film Cannibal Holocaust was released into the world. Over 20 years later it is regarded as one of the most brutal and convincing horror movies ever released. B-D received official confirmation that Deodato will be returning to franchise he created with a “companion piece”.
It is very important to understand that this is a companion film and NOT a sequel, NOT a remake and NOT a reboot!
Cannibal Holocaust has been banned in dozens of countries due to its gore and violence.
The film centers on a professor traveling to South America to find out what happened to a film crew that disappeared while shooting a documentary about reputed cannibal tribes. He eventually discovers the remains of the crew and several reels of undeveloped film, which show the disastrous consequences of the crew’s decision to provoke the natives.
