David Duchovny has been insisting for the better part of the decade that a sequel to the X-FILES movie is close to becoming a reality. Last month, he started his sequel talk anew but this time, shockingly enough, there may be some substance to his ranting.
Gillian Anderson, who played Mulder’s eternally skeptical lifemate Dana Scully, while promoting her upcoming thriller STRAIGHTHEADS, recently spoke to Empire Online about a possible sequel and had this to say: “They’re starting to talk about doing a feature again. Every year or two they talk about it again, but it seems like it might be for real this time. Somehow it seems like somebody’s really serious about it. I know that Chris’ lawsuit with Fox is over, so maybe now it can be done.”
