Fango received word that principal photography kicked off yesterday on THEY CAME FROM THE ATTIC, a feature horror film shooting in Ladner, British Columbia. Written and directed by newcomer Jason Mills under his Mills Pictures banner, the project is “in the same vein as THE DESCENT,” according to Canadian actor Greg Tiderington, who appears in the film. “It’s about a new family moving into a mysterious old house in the woods in the middle of nowhere,” he continues. “Nearby is an eccentric family who are aware of the former residents, and up in the house’s attic are creatures that feast on anything that resides there.”
Performers joining Tiderington (whose other genre credits include the 2005 indie horror anthology THE HORROR SEASONS) in ATTIC include local actors Robert Duncan, Marina Seretis, Nicola Elbro, Leon Bourikos, Nathan Dashwood and Dick Pugh. The film’s official site can be found here, and while rather sparse, it does offer up a few more details via its synopsis. No word as of yet as to who’s been tapped to provide the film’s FX and greedy garret ghouls, but stay tuned to Fango for updates.
