Buried in one of a few recent Variety stories on the state of the horror genre was this cool nugget of information: Guillermo del Toro has joined Rogue Pictures’ upcoming remake of THE CHANGELING as a producer. The busy del Toro’s attachment to the redux of Peter Medak’s 1979 film, which starred George C. Scott as a man getting to the bottom of a frightening haunting in his new mansion home, is the latest twist to a project has been in development since the very beginning of Rogue’s existence. THE INVASION’s Dave Kajganich wrote the initial script, and it was even reported a while back that Medak himself might helm the redux, but no other talent is currently confirmed. Stay tuned…
