Indie filmmaker John Orrichio and actor Tony Rugnetta gave Fango the word that their recently completed chiller BLACK RIBBON can now by purchased on DVD ($18, tax and shipping included) at the movieís official website. Written and directed by Orrichio, whose previous direct-to-DVD productions include THE POSSESSION OF FATHER THOMAS and REQUIEM FOR A VAMPIRE, BLACK RIBBON stars Rugnetta as a successful author named Ken Richardson, who moves to the country with his wife Beth to work on his latest novel. He wins an on-line auction for an antique typewriter, but his personality begins altering for the very worse once he begins using the one-of-a-kind machine. It turns out that the typewriter was originally owned by an 1800s Satanist named Jeffrey Blackwood, who tortured women to death in the interest of raising the devil, and Ken becomes possessed by his evil spirit.

The cast also includes Jacki Vogel, Rudy J. Altenor, Berenice Di Piazza, Debbie D and TV personality Joe Franklin in a special appearance as Kenís father. For more info, photos, the trailer, etc., check out the movieís site linked above.
