Those of you who follow comics may be familiar with the work of Studio 407; they’re one of the new kids on the comic publishing block but despite (or maybe because of) this they’ve just signed a first-look deal with Myriad Pictures to create live-action features based on their property, or so says The Hollywood Reporter.
Up for 2008 are two horror titles and a World War II drama; Night and Fog is the first of the former, about a military experiment on an island that goes awry and turns the locals into monsters. Hybrid is the other, dealing with four college kids on vacation who find an ancient fishing trawler that’s home to a hideous secret.
Interestingly, the film deal will allow Myriad to create graphic novels or comic titles based on the films, as well.
