Fango contributer Robg gave Fango the tip that a preview/pitch film for Christopher (HORROR BUSINESS) Garetano’s SOUTH TEXAS BLUES just debuted on YouTube; you can check it out below. Described as an “obsessive fantasy” by Garetano about the making of Tobe Hooper’s classic THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, SOUTH TEXAS BLUES will feature recreations of the often grueling shoot, with many of the actual actors and crew taking part. Currently in development (the short seen below is being used to help raise production funds), SOUTH TEXAS BLUES has Edwin Neal (the original CHAINSAW’s hitchhiker) on board as a consultant, and SATAN’S PLAYGROUND writer/director Dante Tomaselli—also the subject of an upcoming Garetano documentary—is an associate producer.
You can find out more about the project at its MySpace page.
