Remember Joel Schumacher’s Flatliners back in the day? Well Stephen Susco (The Grudge) has written a two-hour pilot for a new TV series based on it!
Susco has penned the two-hour pilot, followed by the regular one-hour show. Head on over to Collider to find out more. Susco discusses the show and the current WGA strike, as well as his involvement in the adaptation of Jack Ketchum’s Red.
Shumacher’s 1990 Flatliner flick starred Kiefer Sutherland, Julia Roberts, Kevin Bacon, William Baldwin and Oliver Platt as a group of medical students who decide to embark on a dangerous experiment to learn more about the afterlife. Each has their heart stopped and is soon after revived. They begin having flashes of walking nightmares from their childhood, reflecting sins they committed or had committed against them.
