ROMERO THE ILL
The Creature Corner featured a nice piece of George Romero news today, you can read what it said below…
‘I’ve been working on this site for a long time now, and it’s safe to say I’ve seen a lot of movie ideas come through here that never happened. I never in a million years thought I could forget about a proposed George A. Romero project, but that is exactly what happened.
‘The Ill’ is a vampire flick that Romero’s been batting around for quite a while now (at least three years) but like most of his projects it’s been almost impossible to get money behind it. Variety is reporting today, however, that P-Kino Films is producing the project, with IN-Motion Pictures grabbing all the worldwide sales outside of the UK and US. That means that yes, the film is getting made.
We’re going to see a new Romero flick…hell yes.’
‘The Ill’ concerns a college slacker who falls in love with a mysterious Eastern European student, whom I would guess is a blood sucker. We’ll dig up more on it when we can, but we do know that it’s set to start shooting in late summer.
