Indie horror ‘Necrosis’ has wrapped! Director and co-writer Jason Stephens has updated Fango with the news and has let us know that the official site is now open.
Stephens and co-scripter/co-star Robert Michael Ryan wanted real snow for their story of vacationers who fall victim to the spirits of the cannibalistic Donner Party, and according to the director, they got it. “We had 12 feet of snow in 10 days,” Stephens says of the Lake Tahoe-area shoot. “There were days when I woke up and looked out the window and thought, ‘If this film wasn’t self-financed, I would have called in and said, “Nope, snowing too hard today, not filming.” ’ But with our budget, we had to film every day. We got it done, and it looks incredible. There is no way anyone will doubt that the characters are trapped by a snowstorm. We actually were!”
The cast includes George Stults, former pop star Tiffany, James Kyson Lee and Michael Berryman.
