Columbia has picked up the rights to Mike Sobel's 'Animals'. Neal Moritz's Original Films is producing. This particular 'Animals' shouldn't be confused with Doug Aarniokoski's movie of the same name also being released later this year.
Sobel's 'Animals', a horror thriller, whose central idea is that all the planet's animals turn on humans, from wild creatures to pets. But keep an eye on the remake currently in production of the Australian horror 'Long Weekend' which pretty much has the exact same plot, only this time on a camping retreat.
