'The X-Files 2' sequel has finally been given it's official title. Which is...'The X-Files: I Want to Believe'. Chris Carter discussed the title recently to the Associated Press.

Chris Carter recently spoke with the Associated Press about the film and had the following to say regarding the new title:

"It's a natural title," Carter said in a telephone interview Tuesday during a break from editing the film. "It's a story that involves the difficulties in mediating faith and science. `I Want to Believe.' It really does suggest Mulder's struggle with his faith."

Directed by Chris Carter and co-written by Carter and longtime collaborator Frank Spotnitz, 'The X-Files: I Want to Believe' hits US theatres on July 25th.
