Dread Central have been chatting with Blair Witch co-director Dan Myrick about his upcoming projects. The sci-fi thriller ‘The Objective’ and new horror feature ‘Savant’.
Production has just wrapped on ‘The Objective’. It’s going to be playing at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York this year, and if all goes well, the flick may be picked up for domestic and international distribution.
The project is about a CIA agent who, along with special force ops, is tracking down something that is supposed to be a WMD in Afghanistan. After a series of events, it turns out that the object in question is a UFO/sentient being that is attacking all who come near it out of self defense. This new force on Earth appears to be totally unstoppable, and with no way to communicate with it, who knows if it is a threat or not?
Myrick’s other horror feature, ‘Savant’, which will be about a villain who is capable, thanks to a special power, of turning ordinary people into serial killers.
