Scott Speedman has been promoting the release of the serial killer thriller ‘Anamorph’ recently and discussed with ShockTillYouDrop his absense in the prequel ‘Underworld 3: The Rise of the Lycans’.
“Len [Wiseman], the director [of the first two ‘Underworld’ films], texted me from New Zealand saying that the next film had werewolves and, ‘You’re not here, it’s very strange.’ It’s a prequel, so I couldn’t be in it at all. I don’t know if there’s going to be a next one. [The prequel] might close the book on the Underworld series.”
In ‘Rise of the Lycans’, Michael Sheen and Bill Nighy return in this origin tale that ignites the feud between vampires and the Lycans. FX artist Patrick Tatopoulos makes his directing debut.
Screen Gems will release the sequel in theaters on January 23rd 2009.
