Jack Ketchum’s novel adaption of ‘Red’ has seen the North American rights picked up by Magnolia Pictures. Stephen Susco wrote the adaptation which has been helmed by both Trygve Allister Diesen and Lucky McKee.
An older, reclusive man’s best friend and inspiration for living is his 14-year-old dog named “Red”. When three troublesome teens kill the dog for no good reason, the grieving man sets out for justice and redemption by whatever means available to him.
‘Red’ stars Brian Cox, Tom Sizemore, Robert Englund and Amanda Plummer.
The film was originally directed by Lucky McKee, but due to differences whilst shooting McKee was relieved of his duties and Diesen stepped in to finish things off.
