Platinum Dunes have been umming and arring over who to get to pen the script for the recently announced 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' remake. And it's the 'Freddy vs. Jason' scripters who seem to be right up there.

Both Mark Swift & Damian Shannon are reported as being favoured by the studio to take on the writing responsibilities on the remake. Swift and Shannon have already been busy recently scripting the upcoming 'Friday the 13th' remake.
