Bloody Disgusting are reporting that father and son authors Stephen King and Joe Hill have had their ‘Throttle’ novella optioned for the big screen by ‘The Road’ producer Nick Wechsler. Apparently funding the option himself.
The story is about a father/son members of a motorcycle gang that are chased through the desert by an 18-wheel tanker truck.
The novella, yet to be published, will arrive next year as part of a new anthology entitled ‘He Is Legend’, which is dedicated to ‘I Am Legend’ author Richard Matheson.
Wechsler comments: “It has elements of iconic films like ‘Duel’ and ‘Breakdown,’ but with a horror element that I want to push”.
