Bloody Disgusting are not surprisingly apprehensive about their announcement of an apparent director stepping up for duties on the planned remake of 'Poltergeist'. What with the rumour mill in overdrive lately it's becomming more and more difficult to get solid confirmations on some of these stories. But for all intents and purposes it appears that Vadim Perelman ('The Life Before Her Eyes', 'House of Sand and Fog') will be bringing the spirits back to the big screen.
'Poltergeist', currently being penned by co-writers Michael Grais, Juliet Snowden and Stiles White, is still in the development stages but if this rumour happens to be fact then we can expect to see things start to get rolling on the project.
Tobe Hooper and Steven Spielberg's 1982 original was based on a haunted family house that soon started to show it's true supernatural powers by sucking their youngest into the TV and leaving open a gate to the other side.
