Can director and product David Nutter help ‘Eastwick’ find a place on the small screen? Well he has one heck of a track record so who better? Nutter has been responsible for directing TV pilots such as ‘Dark Angel’, ‘Roswell’ and ‘Supernatural’ and it seems his magic touch gets them picked up almost immediately! Nutter will now attempt the same on Warner Bros. TV’s new adaption of the 1987 horror/comedy ‘The Witches of Eastwick’.
‘Eastwick’, about three women who discover they have supernatural powers after a mysterious man arrives in their small town.
And Nutter himself has apparently lapped up the idea conceived by writer/executive producer Maggie Friedman.
“She has come up with an amazing starting-off point — I can really see where the series is going to go,” Nutter said. “She’s got a great bedrock of characters and a great mystery.”
