The new ‘Children of the Corn’ remake finally aired at the weekend on SyFy, however, if you didn’t catch it fear not as it’ll hit DVD shelves next week on Tuesday 6th October. The new release from Anchor Bay Entertainment features a batch of interviews with various cast and crew members as well as some behind the scenes footage. Full details are below.
The ‘Children of the Corn’ redo, based on the 1984 original, which in turn was based on the classic Stephen King novel, was directed, written and produced by filmmaker Donald P. Borchers – who also produced the original.
“The movie stars David Anders, Kandyse McClure and Preston Bailey and deals with finds Burton and Vicki (Anders and McClure) making their way across the country when an accident leaves them stranded in the middle of a corn field.
They stumble upon a cult of children led by the charismatic young leader Isaac (Bailey) and his right hand “man” Malachai (Daniel Newman). They soon learn that this is no typical cornfield and there is something different about the children living in Gatlin, Nebraska. “Harvest” takes on a life-or-death urgency when Burton and Vicki must find a way to escape before they becomes sacrifices to He Who Walks Behind The Rows!”
