It doesn’t usually take more than 12 months these days for a brilliant foreign horror movie to be released just for the West to hop on the back of it’s success and word-of-mouth popularity, pinch the concept and claim it’s stake to an instant english-speaking remake. And so thus the story also for brilliant Swedish vampire movie ‘Let the Right One In’. UK based Hammer Films acquired the rights and have now cast actor Richard Jenkins to join others in the upcoming redo ‘Let Me In’.
Jenkins will join Kodi Smit-McPhee and Chloe Moretz. Hammer Films acquired the rights to remake the flick during last year’s Tribeca Film Festival.
“The coming-of-age horror tale revolves around the relationship between a preteen boy and a girl who just moved to the neighborhood and happens to be a vampire. Smit-McPhee and Moretz play the adolescents while Jenkins is the girl’s human-hunting guardian.”
