Time is the new currency in Andrew Niccol's new intriguing sci-fi thriller 'I'm.Mortal'. And the cast is slowly growing. Just a while back we announced the sexy Amanda Seyfried's (below) involvement and then since of course Justin Timberlake has joined the cast as the main protagonist. And now it's the turn of actor Cillian Murphy ('Inception', 'Batman Begins', 'Sunshine, '28 Days Later'). Murphy is apparently near to closing a deal on his role as a 'time-keeper' in the flick.
"I'M.MORTAL is set in the not-too-distant future, where the aging gene has been switched off. To avoid overpopulation, time has become the currency and the way people pay for luxuries and necessities. The rich can live forever, while the rest try to negotiate for their immortality."
Timberlake is one of the poor who comes into a fortune of time, though too late to help his mother from dying. He ends up on the run from a corrupt police force known as time keepers." Murphy will play a meticulous high officer in the Time Keepers organization, said to be "precise as the time he keeps."
