It seems Aliens coming to Earth are in again! Everything at the moment seems to centre around aliens or vampires. First off we have JJ Abrams 'Super 8', and then there's the more epic-like Strause brothers project 'Skyline'. And now joining the alien invasion ranks comes 'I Am Number Four', a potentially more watered down alien tale possibly aimed at a younger audience or fans of 'Twilight' or 'Push'. A new trailer has arrived online which you can check out below which already has me grimacing at the prospect of more 'Twilight' fans meandering around my local multiplex. Alex Pettyfer, Teresa Palmer, 'Glee' star and hottie Dianna Agron (seen below in all her hot cheerleader glory!), Kevin Durand and Timothy Olyphant all star.
The novel adaption will be helmed by 'Disturbia' and 'Eagle Eye' director D.J. Caruso. And it seems Steven Spielberg has to have his fingers in any alien-esque story as well as he'll be serving as a producer on this flick as well as JJ Abrams' forementioned 'Super 8' sci-fi project.
"An extraordinary young man, John Smith, is a fugitive on the run from ruthless enemies sent to destroy him. Changing his identity, moving from town to town with his guardian Henri, John is always the new kid with no ties to his past. In the small Ohio town he now calls home, John encounters unexpected, life-changing events - his first love, powerful new abilities and a connection to the others who share his incredible destiny."
'I Am Number Four' is scheduled to arrive in US theatres on 18 February 2011.
