Swedish actress Noomi Rapace is apparently in talks with Ridley Scott about taking the female lead is his upcoming ‘Alien’ prequel. Repace (below) is better known to many for playing the role of Lisbeth Salander in the trio of crime thrillers ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’, ‘The Girl Who Played with Fire’ and ‘The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest’, based on Swedish author and journalist Stieg Larssons ‘Millenium’ trilogy.
ScriptFlags has reported that she had met with Scott last August which Deadline have now confirmed. No word yet confirming she has the role and Scott is reportedly also approaching other actresses including the smoking hot Aussie actress Abbie Cornish (below).
Recent reports of production issues have been floating around but obviously if casting talks are still going on then it’s a good sign of things to come hopefully.
