The ‘Fright Night’ reVAMP (pun intended) has just gotten itself a brand spanking new release date. But which way has this baby swung? Well, it’s good news as the Craig Gillespie remake has been bought forward from October 2011 all the way to 19 August 2011. So a pretty confident Dreamworks has pushed it into Summer territory must be hopeful that its stars Anton Yelchin, Colin Farrell, David Tennant, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Imogen Poots (below) and Toni Collette can pull in those Summer horror audiences. And the whole thing is being shot in 3D and not coverted in post-production.
“A young man discovers a vampire has moved in next door to him. He enlists a Vegas performer, Peter Vincent (played by Tennant), to help slay him.”
So ‘Fright Night’ will now arrive across the US on 19 August 2011.
