ALICE EVE AND LUKE EVANS IN TALKS TO JOIN 'THE RAVEN' CAST

It's quite the week for smoking hot British actresses turning their sweet asses to the horror genre. Alice Eve (below), who starred in 'She's Out of My League' and 'Sex and the City 2' is now in talks to appear alongside John Cusack ('1408', 'Identity') in 'The Raven', based on the life of American writer and poet Edgar Allen Poe. Cusack will be playing the role of Poe himself and Eve would appear as his wife in the James McTeigue directed feature. Welsh actor Luke Evans has also been tapped to play a detective who teams up with the Poe character.

"Set in 1849 Baltimore, The Raven follows author Edgar Allan Poe as he attempts to rescue his wife from a serial killer who is tailoring his murders to match the deaths found in the novelist's most popular books. Evans plays the detective Poe teams up with for help."

Both Ewan McGregor and Jeremy Renner were at one point attached to star but dropped out.
