Aussie shark-fest ‘The Reef’, based on true events, has gotten itself a new trailer. This is not writer/director Andrew Traucki’s first creature feature having previously helmed the man-eating crocodile movie ‘Black Water’ a few years back. Trying to survive the great white torment will be actors Adrienne Pickering (below), Zoe Naylor, Damian Walshe-Howling, Gyton Grantley and Kieran Darcy-Smith. I did have to giggle at the movie’s tagline though: “Pray That You Drown First”. It seems even the marketing team don’t have much faith in this one! Check out the trailer at the link below.
‘The Reef’ will get it’s UK premiere as part of the Film4 Frightfest All-Night event taking place in London’s Leicester Square on Saturday 30 October. So if you can stay up till 2:30am when it gets its’ screening and have tickets go check it out. If you don’t have tickets yet make sure you head on over to FrightFest’s official site here.
Check out the new offical trailer over at the ‘The Reef’ website here.
“For a group of experienced backpackers it seemed like a dream come true: A week cruising the world’s most beautiful coral reef on their own yacht. But when their boat capsizes leaving them stranded on an overturned hull, the dream turns into a nightmare. What should they do? Stay with a damaged hull that could sink at any moment or try to swim for land? Finally deciding to swim, the friends take to the water. As they close in on land, a fin surfaces, and with it the realization that they are being stalked by a deadly fifteen foot white pointer shark. Will any of them make the swim or will the sea take what it wants?”
