Actor Leonardo DiCaprio certainly seems to have a lot on his plate. His name is currently tied to a whole host of upcoming movies, including Clint Eastwood’s ‘Hoover’ – a biopic about FBI director J. Edgar Hoover. But dear old Leo has apparently signed up for the movie adaption of Erik Larson’s novel ‘The Devil in the White City’. DiCaprio will play serial killer H.H. Holmes, whom amassed a body count in the 1800s, confessing to 27 murders but could have actually been responsible for as many as 200.
Here’s a synopsis of the novel…
Bringing Chicago circa 1893 to vivid life, “The Devil In the White City” intertwines the true tale of two men – Daniel H. Burnham, the brilliant architect behind the legendary 1893 World’s Fair, striving to secure America’s place in the world; and Dr. H.H. Holmes, the cunning serial killer who used the fair to lure his victims to their death in his elaborately constructed “Murder Castle.”
