With excellent feedback and reviews for their first theatrical release in about 30 years it seems it’s certainly ‘Hammer’ time for the British horror production company. Their vampire remake ‘Let Me In’ has been very well received and they’re hoping for a similar story with their Antti Jokinen helmed horror project ‘The Resident’. The creepy tale stars Hilary Swank (below) (‘The Gift’, ‘The Reaping’) in the lead and she’ll be joined by Jeffrey Dean Morgan (‘Supernatural’, ‘Watchmen’), Lee Pace (‘Pushing Daisies’, ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1’) and the legendary horror actor, and Hammer regular (in it’s hay-day), Christopher Lee. Image Entertainment have gotten ahold of the US rights and will be distributing this baby next Spring.
“When a young doctor suspects she may not be alone in her new Brooklyn loft, she learns that her landlord has formed a frightening obsession with her.”
The IMDB currently lists ‘The Resident’ for a March 2011 release here in the UK.
