There has been speculations galore surrounding the intended ‘Ghostbusters III’ sequelisation, however, nothing is truly set in stone – as yet. And in spite of various casting rumours such as Anna Faris (below) (‘Scary Movie’, ‘The House Bunny’) and Bill Hader (‘Superbad’, ‘Paul’) being described as “strong possibilities” it’s still all a bit ‘up in the air’. And it appears that ‘Ghostbusters’ star Ernie Hudson, who plays Winston Zeddemore, agrees. In an interview with Movie Mikes, Ernie seems convinced that Bill Murray won’t let it happen. Dan Aykroyd has apparently talked Murray into the project and both Sigourney Weaver and helmer Ivan Reitman are rumoured to be returning to the fray also.
“[Murray’s] definition of good is a little bit different than everybody elses”, said Hudson. “So we will see, I would love to see it happen. I know the fans have been asking for it, so hopefully.”
He added “Bills a great guy, he’s kind of quirky but I love him. He’s a guy who is very much into what he’s feeling. I know he really cares about his work, which is probably why there hasn’t been another ‘Ghostbusters’ as of yet.”
