Those ruddy disguised robots are back in all their 3D glory in the form of ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’, the third installment in the blockbusting action franchise that seems to take up most of Michael Bay’s time at the moment. A new teaser trailer for the upcoming sequel has arrived and you can check it out below. No sign yet of returning cast members Shia LaBeouf and Josh Duhame or a glimpse at Sam Witwicky’s new love-interest replacement, played by the sexy model turned actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (below). Rosie of course is replacing Megan Fox whom was fired from the franchise. The trio will be joined by fellow cast members John Malkovich, Hugo Weaving, Patrick Dempsey, Ken Jeong, John Turturro, Frances McDormand, Alan Tudyk, Tyrese Gibson and Kevin Dunn.
“The Autobots Bumblebee, Ratchet, Ironhide and Sideswipe led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009’s ‘Transformers Revenge of the Fallen’. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There’s new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime ‘Transformers’ character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.”

‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’ will arrive in theatres on 1 July 2011 stateside, but expect to see if here in the UK on 29 June 2011.
