Hammer Films is currently working on the big screen adaption of the popular Susan Hill novel 'The Woman in Black'. The book has already been running for 21 years now in the West End and is apparently one of the scariest live theatre experiences you'll ever come across. 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1' star Daniel Radcliffe (below) has already filled the lead boots and now a slew of other actors have joined in the terrifying spooky action. Ciaran Hinds, Janet McTeer, Liz White, Alisa Khazanova, Tim McMullan, Roger Allam, Daniel Cerqueira, Shaun Dooley, Mary Stockley, Cathy Sara, David Burke, Victor McGuire, and Lucy May Barker have all hopped on board this supernatural thriller. It's an exciting project which not only has Jane Goldman ('Kick-Ass', 'X-Men: First Class') scripting but has 'Eden Lake' director James Watkins helming it! Everything seems to be the perfect combination.

Personally I'm extremely keen to go and check out the play first in theatres before I view the completed movie. I was lucky enough to go and see 'Ghost Stories' at the Duke of York theatre a few months ago (and going again in February) which I thought was fantastic and terrifying so would love to see what all the fuss is about with the 'The Woman in Black'.

"The Woman in Black follows a young lawyer, Arthur Kipps (Daniel Radcliffe), who is ordered to travel to a remote corner of the UK and sort out a recently deceased client's papers. As he works alone in an old and isolated house, Kipps begins to uncover its tragic secrets, and his unease grows when he discovers that the local village is held hostage by the ghost of a scorned woman set on vengeance."

You can book tickets at the official website for 'The Woman in Black' here.
