It had been reported that the hugely successful zombie TV series ‘The Walking Dead’ would be returning for a second season this October. But good news chaps, it appears the AMC could be bringing this forward for the Summer season and we may even likely get to see how the undead-dodging gang fare as early as July! The news comes from ‘Breaking Bad’ actor Bryan Cranston of all people. During a recent interview with the New York Magazine Cranston was asked as to why he thought the season premiere of his popular AMC show was pushed to July. And he gave his thoughts and amazingly name-dropped Frank Darabont’s ‘The Walking Dead’ in as well. Check out what Bry had to say below.
“It was a decision from AMC that they wanted to position us in July, along with Mad Men. And I believe they’re going to put Walking Dead in July as well. I think it’s just a sensible thing – they want to attract as many eyeballs as possible, away from the heavy competition of the September, November, January start.”
“‘The Walking Dead’ follows a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes, who travel in search of a safe and secure home. The comic goes on to explore the challenges of life in a world overrun by zombies who take a toll on the survivors, and sometimes the interpersonal conflicts present a greater danger to their continuing survival than the zombies that roam the country. Over time, the characters are changed by the constant exposure to death and some grow willing to do anything to survive.”
