Well, as you’ve probably already heard the once known as ‘Alien 5’ or the ‘Untitled Alien Prequel’ coming to us from ‘Alien’ director Ridley Scott has somehow evolved into an entirely new(ish) sci-fi project entitled ‘Prometheus’. It will reportedly still involve certain ‘Alien’ related connections but will no longer be held as a direct prequel to the ‘Alien’ series. ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’s’ Noomi Rapace is still in place and now she’ll be joined by Michael Fassbender. The actor who has appeared in a number of high-profile flicks of late, including Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Inglourious Basterds’ and now shooting his role as a young Magneto in the ‘X-Men: First Class’ prequel, already has a variety of upcoming projects on the horizon and with a June 2012 release expected for ‘Prometheus’ it’s going to be a tight squeeze.
‘Prometheus’, in Greek mythology, was a Titan God. He had the pivotal role in the early history of mankind. So should we expect the uncovering of some ancient alien to human evolvement connection? Or is it simply the name of the spaceship!? Who knows.
