‘Warm Bodies’ does sound like a cosy chick flick, however, think of it more as a flesh eating love story. New zombie-related adaption, from the book of the same name by Isaac Marion, is being developed by writer/director Jonathan Levine (‘All the Boys Love Mandy Lane’) and today the first cast member has been added. Brit star Nicholas Hoult who you may remember as the little chubby one in ‘About a Boy’ but also known for his stint in ‘Skins’ has been cast in the Summit Entertainment project. Hoult will also play Beast in the upcoming ‘X-Men’ prequel ‘X-Men: First Class’.
“The story centers upon an existentially tormented zombie who begins an unlikely friendship with the girlfriend of one of his victims and starts a chain reaction that will transform him and his fellow zombies.”
The book itself was self-published by Marion until it was picked up by Atria Books. It won’t be published until the Summer of 2011.
