PHILIP CARRER'S 'IN THE HOUSE OF FLIES' TEASER ARTWORK REVEALS JUST THE ONE FLY

Director Philip Carrer's new genre project 'In the House of Flies' has got some early teaser artwork to help raise eyebrows and draw some attention to the new kidnap thriller. It features, well, a fly on it. Albeit quite a close-up, detailed view of a fly - but it seems to do the job. Philip Carrer ('If a Tree Falls', 'Kill') reteams with fellow producer Chad Archibald and will helm from a script penned by Angus McLellan. Check out the new one sheet, the synopsis and what Carrer had to say on the project, set to star Lindsay Smith and Ryan Kotak, below.

"Set in the "retro" nineteen-eighties, IN THE HOUSE OF FLIES focuses around an abducted couple forced to tackle their way to freedom. Alone, isolated and locked in an undisclosed, suburban basement, Heather and Steve find themselves surrounded by numerous and mysteriously sealed suitcases - each containing valuable clues to their very own survival. Both Heather and Steve must exploit what remains of their bruised intellect and depleting sanity, to escape the authority of an unidentified and brutal kidnapper. Let the countdown begin."

Carrer said: "When I read the script, I felt so drawn to the situation the characters were in.  Unlike previous horror films with people 'trapped' in a situation, this film is largely based on character instead of shock factor. Angus wrote the script back in 2003, before the SAW films or other films involving the 'trap' situation."
