ROWLAND ON ROV INTERVIEW
For all of you who missed the broadcast, probably because Australian time is so much off by ours, Clint over at Moviehole dropped me an email with the skinny on what Rowland had to say about Freddy vs Jason…
Clint over at Moviehole happened to listen to Kelly Rowland on ROV and took the time to fill us in…
‘Kelly Rowland talked a little bit about Freddy vs Jason on Rove last night, simply saying she never liked horror movies but this one cos it was ‘so cool’.
‘She then said the idea of Freddy – who’se like the ultimate evil – and Jason – who no matter how many miles you run ahead from, is still right behind you – together, and how the kids would even survive both, appealed to her.’
‘She said seeing Englund in make-up was scary – reflecting on one time that he crept up behind her and put his freddy fingernails up on her shoulders. no one else was around, it was dark…and she was freaked!’
‘She also said the filmmakers ordered her then to act scared [especially in a scene where she jumps through a window] – she laughed saying ‘oh no worries about me being scared! thats for sure’, referring to her run-in with Englund off-set.’
‘Rowland says she plays one of the 5 main leads.’
In addition Jasec writes in, ‘In her whirlwind Aussie trip, Kelly Rowland was on the Today Show (Morning Current affairs show) today 28/5. On the show she announced that Freddy vs Jason was to be released in Australia in late November 2003.’ Hopefully this is true for you guys down under!
