Earlier this week word was that legendary horror writer Stephen King was in talks to write an episode for the Frank Darabont produced second season of the zombie series ‘The Walking Dead’ for the AMC network. Word came from actress Laurie Holden but now King himself has confirmed the rumours direct to Entertainment Weekly. And if the deal goes ahead he’ll co-pen an episode with his son Joe Hill. Hill himself has already penned the two novels ‘Heart Shaped Box’ and ‘Horns’ as well as a collection of short stories entitled ’20th Century Ghosts’. ‘The Walking Dead’ stars Andrew Lincoln, Jon Bernthal, Michael Rooker, Norman Reedus, Jeffrey DeMunn, Laurie Holden, Steven Yeun and the sexy Sarah Wayne Callies (below).
“‘The Walking Dead’ follows a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes, who travel in search of a safe and secure home. The comic goes on to explore the challenges of life in a world overrun by zombies who take a toll on the survivors, and sometimes the interpersonal conflicts present a greater danger to their continuing survival than the zombies that roam the country. Over time, the characters are changed by the constant exposure to death and some grow willing to do anything to survive.”
