‘Wolf Creek’ director was reportedly working on an outback sequel to the Aussie horror tale which would see the notorious Mick Taylor, played by John Jarratt, return to the fray for more down under terror. But with Lionsgate’s new announcement that helmer Greg McLean would be working on the greenlit supernatural flick ‘6 Miranda Drive’ it seems ‘Wolf Creek 2’ may have to sit on the back burner for a little while. The announcement comes part of a trio of movies planned by the studio which will work under a “new microbudget production initiative” which will push forward movies that can get made for under $2 million. Check out the plot for ‘6 Miranda Drive’ below, which is based on true events.
“Based on true events, the movie is about a family that unwittingly brings a supernatural force home with them from vacation. Feeding off their own fears, the evil presence threatens to destroy them from within as it takes over their lives and home, with terrifying results.”
